Labour: no plan to
STOP THE BOATS
Labour would allow illegal migrants to claim asylum.
Labour’s amnesty would drive up illegal migration – at the expense of British taxpayers.
And it would put more power and money into the hands of the vile people smuggling gangs.
Overnight, the asylum backlog would increase in size 7 times over.
Labour have said they would admit illegal small boat migrants into the asylum system. Including all who have come since March 2023.
Is this right?
We've passed the toughest laws ever to stop the boats. Meaning if you come here illegally, you won’t be able to stay.
The Safety of Rwanda Act gets removal flights going by:
1. Confirming that Rwanda is safe
2. Preventing courts from second guessing that assessment
3. Disapplying sections of the Human Rights Act that have prevented removals to Rwanda
4. Putting Parliament back in charge of our borders
Now that this bill has been passed, the process of removing the people identified for the first flight has begun. And the flights will start in 10-12 weeks time.
The legal merry-go-round and delaying tactics stops now.
Not everyone in Westminster likes this approach.
Too many politicians want to duck this issue.
Labour have voted against our plan to Stop the Boats over 130 times.
